Effect of Writing Therapy on the Anxiety andSelf-esteem of University Students
This study was aimed to examine the effect of writing therapy on the anxiety and self-esteem of university students. In order to do that, writing therapy was introduced first, and the effect of one on those who have anxiety and low self-esteem was revealed. For writing therapy, the test was conducted on pre- and post-state anxiety, trait anxiety, and self-esteem, and the result of it was analyzed, and the writings that the participants wrote themselves were suggested to be a stay at the base in showing the process of change of them. After conducting a variety of writing therapy, the participants showed the significant change in both state anxiety and trait anxiety, and the significant increase in self-esteem. As it was conducted only for some university students, it is suggested that the study shall be conducted for the wide subjects in order to generalize the results.
