燕下都 辛莊頭 30號墓의 年代와 性格
The Date and Character of Xinzhuangtou Tomb No. 30 in the Lower Capital of the Yan State
Xinzhuangtou Tomb No. 30 is located in the Lower Capital of the Yan State,Yixian, Hebeisheng, China. Korean-type bronze dagger-axes (ge halberds)were excavated from this tomb. Xinzhuangtou Tomb No. 3 is thought to be the final resting place of the Yan general Qin Kai, and it is widely believed to date to the later part of the Warring States period. However, concrete evidence of such a date has yet to be presented. In this paper, therefore, securely dated tombs spanning from the middle of the Warring States period to the middle of the Xihan period were examined for purpose of comparative analysis. As a result, it was possible to confirm that the structure of Xinzhuangtou Tomb No. 30 is similar to that of Xihan period tombs, and that the excavated grave goods include artifacts that have been found in the tombs of the early and middle Xihan period. It can thus be suggested that Xinzhuangtou Tomb No.30 dates to the very early stages of the Xihan period, that is, the early 2nd century BCE. Based on the presence of artifacts from both the Korean peninsula and the northern steppe regions in this tomb, it can be assumed that the deceased buried in Xinzhuangtou Tomb No. 30 was an individual that played an important role in Xiongnuo and Gojoseon relations during the early Xihan period.
