This study aims to clarify the regional meanings and roles of social economy which has been highlighted after the global economic crisis through discussion focusing on endogenous local development theory and the regional implications of social economy as a way to vitalize regional economy. Therefore, centering around the regional concept of social economy, this study combined endogenous development theory into utilizing the local resources of social economy and developing local resources. To make the vitalization of regional economy sustainable, it is needed to enhance community reinvestment. As a way to improve reinvestment, this study will discuss the effectiveness of social economy organizations such as social enterprises, cooperative societies, and community enterprises. Community reinvestment can be enhanced by increasing industrial connectivity among local companies and then extending the increased industrial connectivity into a sustainable mechanism of local development. It is possible to build a system of local development by enhancing community reinvestment and a locally-led economic system. This can never be realized without the local subjects' awareness or autonomy. Moreover, it is needed for the subjects to have a righteous view to making use of local resources or dealing with community issues, and it is also necessary to employ the endogenous development of social economy as a way to solve problems related with their community or local resources.
