This study examined the effects of a mobile study platform on student learning performance and motivation level. For this study, we developed a mobile learning platform was developed using hue, value and saturation properties of colors and a field study was conducted to investigate the effects. A total of sixty students, recruited from a nursing school (A university), participated in two study conditions: a treatment group and a control group, i.e., with/without the mobile learning platform. The two groups' learning performance was compared using their test scores. Pre and post tests were conducted for both groups. Additionally, a follow up questionnaire was administered to assess learning motivation and learning engagement levels for the treatment group using the proposed mobile platform.
