A Study on Direction for Educational Improvement through the Word-spacing Trend Analysis of Preliminary Elementary School Teachers
This study has taken a look at the perception on word-spacing and the trend of error in using word-spacing for students currently enrolled in education colleges by paying attention to the learners who completed all regular education process as the preliminary teachers who will educate on word-spacing in the future. Also, it intends to take a look at the education process and textbooks to measure the trend of the word-spacing education. As a result, the rate of error was shown in the sequence of 'phrase structure > bound noun > compound word > auxiliary predicate > postposition', and the knowledge on dictionary was shown to be insufficient as well. In addition, in the education process and textbooks, word-spacing has been handled in the level of fragmentary calibration only without consideration for hierarchical relationship or in connection with other concepts in grammar. Therefore, in order to improve these issues, this study has proposed three-fold: 'systematic connection of relevant grammar concept and word-spacing', 'practical dictionary utilization education for word-spacing', and 'hierarchical system of word-spacing education contents following the level of schools'.
