    The conventional elevator control system is designed and implemented by one micro-processor and all controls and data processing are centralized in it. So, It could not meet the variable customer needs because flexibility is insufficient and it is not easy to extend its functionality. In this paper, the distributed elevator control system using the network system based on multi-processors is suggested. Car and Hall network should be separated physically and each processor which is connected to that network is doing a defined function by user independently. In the serial data transmission method, Polling, Event and Background method have been used to improve the efficiency and reliability of data transmission. Finally the distributed elevator control system suggested in this paper can improve flexibility and handle the extension of functionality by using a effective data transmission method.
