    The purpose of this study was to know the effect of art therapy programs on the aggressive and maladjustment activities of the children with attention-deficit hyperactivity disorders(ADHD). The sbjects were 3 elementary school students in lower grade with ADHD especially showing problems of aggressive and maladjustment activities as 40 sessions, 3 times a week. The test member was consisted of a researcher, 2 supporters and 3 objective children. The direct observing method was adopted to measure the aggressive and maladjustment activities of the children with ADHD during class. The subjects behavior were recorded on videotape and analyzed by researcher and supporters. ABAB research design was adapted, and the qualitative research was added for each term compensated the missing parts on test design. The results of this study will be summarized as follows. Firstly, as the result of analyzing the general change of aggressive and maladjustment activities among those children, the average frequency of whole aggressive and maladjustment activities shown by 3 children indicated the highest value, respectively, during basic line setting period, dropped during management period (B1) but increased a little during basic line setting period without management (A), and then dropped again during management period (B2). Therefore, it means that the general intervenient effect of art therapy programs was settled. Secondaly, as the result of analyzing the individual sub-activities of aggressive and maladjustment ones, there was lots of differences among individuals for the effect of art therapy programs. In case of children A, the intervention had an great effect on disobey the teachers direction with intent and bite ones nails, and also effect on short concentration time(less than 5 minutes) and meddle with something not related to lesson. In case of children B, the intervention had a great effect on disobey the teachers direction with intent, talk to oneself in aggressive manner and staring into space during class hours. It had effect on short concentration time (less than 5 minutes) but cant lengthen the concentration time so much. In case of children C, the intervention had a great effect on disobey the teachers direction with intent and explode with anger. It had effect on short concentration time (less than 5 minutes) and meddle with something not related to lesson, but not so much. Therefore, the art therapy programs have effect on improving the aggressive and maladjustment activities of the children with attention-deficit hyperactivity disorders.
