성교육 프로그램이 경도발달장애 중학생의 성지식과 태도에 미치는 효과

This study aimed to investigate the effects of a sexuality education program on the sexual knowledge and attitude of middle students with mild developmental disorders. The subjects were twenty students of the four special classes in different middle school under D-Education Office in Busan. The participants were assigned to a 10-member experimental group and a 10-member control group. First, this study was conducted with the pre-test for the two groups. Then, sexuality education program was implemented 15 times, twice a week. Finally, post-test was conducted in the same way that the pre-test had been done. The collected data was verified through t-test and One Way ANOVA. The findings of this study are as follows: First, the sexuality education program was effective for improving the sexual knowledge of middle students with mild developmental disorders. Average score (M=13.56) of the post-test has increased significantly, compared with that (M=7.56) of the pre-test on the sexual knowledge of middle students with mild developmental disorders. Especially, these participants showed high interest on the physical and psychological change, while they did not show significant differences(p>.05) in the pregnancy and childbirth. Second, the sexuality education program was also found out effective for improving the sexual attitude of middle students with mild developmental disorders. These participants showed a great change toward their attitude on sexual physiology and morals, on the other hand, they showed a slight difficulty in understanding their sexual roles. Third, individual characteristics did not show any significant difference(p>.05) on the sexual knowledge and attitude. The other general findings were revealed through this study. These participants were not provided with sexuality education at home at all. They were supplied with information about sexual knowledge at school with the help of teachers. These participants favorite area was found out `making friends with the opposite sex' in the contents of sexuality education program. They showed the negative response on the question which asked for their personal feeling toward sexuality education program.
