초고속 이송방식 레이저 절단기 개발 및 성능 평가에 관한 연구

A high speed feeding type laser cutting machine is developed for the high-precise cutting of sheet metal. The machine is a high speed feeding type one with specified functions of movability and strength in order to increase workability. The gantry frame should be moved with a certain velocity within a relatively short time for the proper cutting of object materials. The gantry is actuated by a rack and pinion. This study has focused on modal and structural analysis for a laser cutting machine to present basic design data on the development of the machine. The machine is modeled by placing proper shell and solid finite elements and fictitious mass properties to represent the real one. Another focus is the performance evaluation of laser cutting machine. In order to prove the performance of this machining center, cutting characteristics are improved by Taguchi method and feed errors have been corrected with a laser interferometer.
