방해기류를 고려한 정방형 후드의 환기효율 평가

The design factors for design of a local exhaust ventilation system are control distances, capture velocity, occur characteristics, flow rate, surroundings, etc. The capture velocity was determined by experimental formula. The most useful experimental formula is the criteria of Industrial Ventilation Manual by ACGIH. However this standards have some constraints, which are unclear terms to use and unlimited scope to define. Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) was applied to predict the effect of cross drafts in work area. A commercially available CFD software, Fluent (ver 6.0), was used, which is based on the finite volume method using k-ε turbulence model. The following results were observed among the various conditions. 1. The criteria of Industrial Ventilation manual for capture velocity are very suitable. 2. If except the effects of occur characteristics, the capture velocity must maintain more higher speeds than cross drafts. 3. Since these standards considered both development characteristics and cross drafts, evaluating only one of the two factors could lead to overestimated results. Further study is required to estimate effect by occur characteristics and investigated the cross drafts of work area in our country.
