유아의 언어, 수리교육에 대한 학부모 인식 원문보기

    The purpose of this study was to investigate the recognition of parents on the education of mathematics and language for childern. This study randomly selected five private kindergartens which are located in Masan, Changwon, Jinhae. We analyzed 190 respondents who have 4 or 5-years-old children . The questionnaires to achieve an object of this study are the following: 1. How are the general expectations of the early childhood education contents? 2. What do you think about the Korean written language education performance :the purpose, the level, the effective educationmethod and the teaching material? 3. What do you think about the mathematic education performance : the purpose, the level, the effective education method and the teaching material? 4. What do you think about English education performance : the purpose, the level, the effective education method and the teaching material? We referred to a former study questionnaire as an inspection tool. We adopted the advice from an academic adviser, and then the researcher used the revised questionnaire. This questionnaire is composed of the early childhood education, the recognition of Korean language area, the mathematic area and the English area that parents want. The statistics of data came from questionnaire calculated frequency, a percentage with each question. In order to know among groups significance level through each factor along a characteristic of questionnaire, we did cross-tabulation analysis and then used Chi-Square Test, "t-test" and analysis of variance. And we used "SPSS" program for analysis. The results based on the questionnaire are the following: First, parents think that the kindergarten education emphasizes on making friends to be sociable and learning the rules of etiquette. Majority of children study in a private institute and have a class with tutors after finishing kindergarten classes. So we can estimate their interested in the early childhood education and how much they spend for the childhood education Second, the results of what we studied on the recognition of parents about a Korean written language are the following: Parents let children to have a written language education in order to let children to get an interest in it. They think that the best education method is to give children the good atmosphere in their ordinary life. Most mothers expected for their children to have a good language ability. Third, the results which we studied the recognition of parents about the mathematic education are the following: In mathematics education, it's important for children to have a positive attitude and a self-confidence and to improve the basic concept. Parents think that using real materials is the most effective way to be educated. Moreover, they want their children to reach high level in a concept of number or in calculating number. Forth, the results which we studied the recognition of parents about English are the following: English is necessary in the coming future. So naturally, the early childhood English education is affected by a social and period background. While a Korean letter language focuses on reading and writing, English focuses on listening and speaking. It's the most effective way to use teaching materials, teaching aids" and talk to each other. Children might lose the interest and desire about study because that the mathematic and the language education level is higher than the beginning elementary course. Not to add confusion to a child, the kindergarten and the school and the home should have a similar and a connected education. Although most parents say they want their children to be interested in study, they expect their children to have good results. This means that for parents to change their idea is required.
