A Study of the Marketing System on the Regional Livestock Products

    In this study, I described regional livestock market system focussed on the beef and pork causing the price and risk of health to so many problems by specialties of goods maintaining the more favorite to the consumers in comparison with the other livestock. I think that adaptation the other livestock product system and government's policies of livestock market structure to this beef and pork market system should be some limitations. After reviewing the problems acquired from working in guiding and checking the quality, livestock market system and retailers on the actual station by my job, I proposed rational method as modem livestock products system of government's role in the regional livestock market system. Therefore, as a result of analysing these factors, although the price of beef and pork is high, many efforts to be believed as a original shape, fresh, tastable and sanitary meat so many efforts is required: The efforts to stabilize this suitable livestock system are as follows. First, minimizing the steps of meat market system and making to be high quality of meat by equipping with modem slaughterhouse facilities, activating to change freezes meat into chilled meat and through brand are demanded. Second, livestock product distribution channels to be differentiated the domestic products from imported livestock products should be systematically reinforced. Third, regional livestock product should be confirmed on quality, and so sanitary livestock products produced and provided to the consumers. Fourth, changing freezed meat to chilled meat and selling method of meat is need. And so on slaughtering livestocks in the butchery equipped with advanced and modem facilities, section and packing individually as a box unit ,and distributing is need to the consumer. Fifth, graded price system should be introduced according to breeds, grades and parts of meat. When this graded market system is stabilized, it is come true to classify the quality and satisfy consumer's desire in regional livestock product. However, if these efforts are made only by government, not through out the whole industry, it is unlikely to attain the essential goals. By removing the functions of sub-seller the rancher's income will be extremely higher, each species of irregular behavior will be removed in retail, and modernized in the regional livestock product market. However, if any direction of backup policy is settled for improvement of livestock product, performing the direction can not be accomplished in a short time, require a long-term by the sepiciality of complicated procedures in comparison with the other industry. Therefore, settling the direction of backup policy for improvement of livestock product is the more important than anything. To keep continuous development and competitiveness in domestic livestock industry, all the concerned parties: government, the academic world, companies, ranchers, distributors, concerned bodies and consumers, should cooperate together keeping in mind the recognition that the changes toward liberalization and open -door policy of feet-import-freedom in international community in the year 2001 will not affect the regional livestock market system but the whole national industry.
