A Study on the Printability of Map Printing by Quality Control

This study discussed the quality of map printing to suggest basic data for the scientific work process and the standardization of quality control. For the efficient work of map printing and quality improvement, we experimented on abrasion-resistance and chemical endurance of 5 kinds of map papers(offset paper, art paper; domestic map paper, foreign map paper, and Tyvek paper). According to human work blazing fire time density change of ink 4 primary colors and an resistance experiment mortification each loss value get. The results obtained from this study were summarized as follows: 1. Imported map paper & domestic map paper were superior to the others in endurance-proof. The second superior thing is Tyvek paper and next is art paper. Domestic map papers(offset paper & aπ paper) might bring printing problems such as collecting, filling, misting because of the low endurance.(D) C) E> A> B) 2. Domestic map paper because loss value of black ink for chemical agents is very high than loss value for yellow, magenta, cyan ink by 0.38-0.65, because resistance is most poor discoloration change thing know can. Discoloration of the following is serious similarly with domestic map paper by art paper. Loss value of Tyvek paper is considered from resistance side to the. most superior thing because there is seldom change by 0.00∼0.01. 3. In the chemical endurance of map papers, such as acid-resistance, alkali-resistance, washability, water-resistance, and chemical-resistance, imported map papers are generally superior to domestic map papers. 4. As a result of test of printability by the reflection densitometry, after artificial dry-heating aging by 5 steps of 20hr, 40hr, 60hr, 80hr, 100hr in conformity with dry-heating aging time, foreign map paper and Tyvek paper are superior to map paper, and domestic map paper is good for yellow and blank ink. Offset paper & aπ paper heighten density of suitable ink in primary color ink that discoloration is serious at map printing work, or is considered that it aids in print quality elevation that increase change amount of ink using compound of small quantity because discoloration is worst in yellow ink and magenta ink. Therefore, if estimate printing quality, could find work aptitude controversial point such as size ailment or curl by moisture, collecting etc.. that home production map paper has, and showed difference according to printing ingredients and printing working environment. Deep research that can supplement these unpreparedness point in hereafter therefore may have to consist continuously.
