Since high-rise building structural systems were developed with an emphasis of lateral force resisting behabvior, the outrigger system is now realized as one of the most effective system. An outrigger-braced tall building structure consistof a stiff core, comprised of shear walls or a braced steel frame in the center of the building, connected to exterior columns by flexurally stiff cantilevers at one or more levels. The purpose of this study is, through former theory, to investigate design-element that is to be necessary in controlling effectively drift and total drift of the outrigger system, an to make apply proftably matters that compared with the location set for each outrigger system, to structure-plan in a preliminary design of high-rise building. The concept for location set outof design element that affects in accurate behavior characteristics and in effective application of tj\he outrigger system, is most important. The analysis make use of 80th steel structure Analysis Model that have concrete shear wall and classify to 106-type for location of outrigger arm & belttruss. In analysis for location set, the following conclusion is obtained for efficient location set. 1. When the stiffiness of the whole building for lateral load is same, the best efficient location set of outrigger arm & belttruss is 26-27 floor and 53-54 floor. this conclusion is equal to Stafford Smith's study that the best locations for two outriggers are 0.312 and 0.685 of the total height from the top 2. When the stiffinesses of models are X, Y. Z-types, the best efficient location sets have moved to the upper levels.
