    The main purpose of this study is to diagnose the difference of the education contents of the middle school and to find the problems and remedies. Thus I contemplated the reference books and the prior studies and to prove these results of consideration, I investigated the opinions of 576 middle school students and 38 teachers of Suwon and Kunp'o city by making up questionnaires. The view point of this study is first 'What is the students' musical inclination?'. second 'What is the problem of present educational condition of music and the operation of curriculum?', and third 'What are the musical interest and the demend for the music education according to the musical inclination'. And the results of the survey are as follows; First,the music that the students prefer most is the popular music and they naturally have access to it through the mass media such as TV, cassette tape recorder, radio, and furthermore their homes and social music surroundings permit them to receive this kind of music thoughtlessly, so the educational consideration of the broadcasting station is called for. Second,most students have little interest in music because music class of Suwon and Kunp'o City consists of singing and theory emphasizing on the memorizing and the teachers have much trouble owing to the shortage of needed teaching materials and teaching aids. Thus the improvement of the entrance examination system is absolutely needed and the Ministry of Education will have to accept the various opinions about it. Finally,in order that students' interests and demands on the music are taken in the present music education, the introduction of the popular music which students like must be examined positively, and music teachers and authorities of education must have positive interest with systematic support for the inclusive music education.
