The aims of the education for the choose of career(or course is to help the students not only to choose their occupation, but also to help them to live their life more effectively. Therefore high schools must contribute to the occupational education more actively. In Korea, about 100thousands graduators are fail to the entrance examination without having occupational education in liberal high schools. It is not exaggeration to say that we have no programs for the occupational education. The 21th century will be the world of global and information. In order to develop the ability to with the wave of globalization for their survival and development, the students must have not a memorized knowledges but the creative power to live in the competitive age under the WTO system. To help the students to develop their creative power, to have self conception, and to form their aims and directions for their life, to know their courses of occupations and to prepare for it, must be the aims of occupational education in liberal high schools. IN the world of globalazation and information, various jobs are appear and soon disappear according to men's intellegental ability and creative power. To prepare for this age, the role of education is becoming more important. Advanced nations such as Japan, America, England have already practiced "education reformation" on the basis of encouragement on technical skills and science so as to produce competitive and superior manpower. A competitive power of a nation are based on the competitive power of industries. It is necessary for industries to have the supporting of technical skills to win in the international competitions. We call it 'technical war' or 'educational war' To produce a competitive manpower. I believe the occupational education must be encouraged in liberal high schools as well as industrial or commercial schools. THE aims of this reserch is to study on the effective accupational education methods in liberal high schools.(I focused on the liberal high schools located in keyongki province.) The types of occupatinal educations which are now practicing in keyongki province are 'General occupational course' , 'occupational class course' and 'individual occupational skill course' Among the above courses. I concluded the occupational class course(Class for preparing for occupation in liberal schools) is the most rational and effective. I suggest the following eight reasons for my conclusion and on the basis of the conclusion I suggest more effective running methods of 'occupational class course' ① The selection ranges are various in the choose of major subjects; Not to mention of entrusting occupational education course, in general occupational course the students forced to select their major subjects among the limited subjects in industrial of commercial schools. But in 'occupational class course' the students can choose various skills without considering their majors. And the liberal subjects can be replaced by the special skill subjects in this course. ② Variety in the selection of technicial skills; According to the national technicial license Authority only 383,801 are get license in technicial skills among 2,159,142 applyors in 676 skill subjects. It shows that in 'entrusting course' they get only one or two license, but in 'occupational class course' in liberal high schools they can get 6∼7 license according to their aptitude, hobby, ability and character. ③ The esiness of completion of essentil subject courses ; The subjet courses settled by the ministry of education is the subject running rules in schools. In the occupational class courses it is possible to complete the essntial subjects but in entrusting courses it's impossible. ④ The justice and easiness of evalulation: The students in the occupational class have the same test as other students in cultural schools, So there are no problems of unjustice in the examination and the process of the evaluation is easy. ⑤ The easiness of making ranking order and making a list of students' record;In entrusting courses it's imposseble to making a list of students' record. Therefore they follow the examination systems approved by the ministry of education to make a list. But in the occupational class course there are no problems to make a list of students' record. ⑥ The easiness of getting license; One of the merits of entrusting course is the easiness of getting skill licenses because the students get more 1,800 hours skill traning. But the ranges of skill licenses they can get are limited. In the occupational class the students can choose various skills and get various skill licenses according to their ability. ⑦ It is possible to save the government budget; Much expenses are needed to establish facilities for skill training and to post skill teachers in general occupational courses. In entrusting courses there are also much expenses are needed to post teachers. But in the occupational class course the expense can be reduced because there are only needed the guidance expenses and so on. ⑧ The easiness of guidence or control students; In entrusting courses it's very difficult to control students because the students come from different schools and there are no ways to save the students who give up their courses on the way. In the occupational class courses it's easy to control students because the students attend schools with other students and go to the technicial institutions with their teachers. IT is proved that the occupational class course is the most rational and democrotic course among other occupational courses. It's the first merit of this course. To encourage the occupational courses in liberal schools, it's necessary to make united form of occupational class courses in all the liberal high schools so as to receive the same expense and administration supports from the government. The second merit of this course is the possibility to complete the essential subjects and to make justifiable evaluation. The third merit of this course is that we can get maximum effects by the minium expense. NOW I will suggest the running methods of occupational class course in liberal schools. The first stage is the preparation stage. In this stage the teachers should find out the students' aptitude, characters, body conditions and surroundings(backgrounds) of students' family. The teachers should make the students and their parents select the skill subjects by counseling and make the running plans with considering the conditions of outer institutions for skill training. The second stage is the skill training stage. In this stage, It is necessery to make schedule tablets with considering the day of skill license tests and to check out the conditions of skill training. The third stage is to guide the students who get skill licenses earlier than other students. The teachers can suggest these students other skill subjects or other activities to cultivate their body and spirit. Among these activities there are calligraphy, paintings, crafts, flower-arrangements, musics, sports and so on. The fourth is the actual training stage. This stage begins summer vacation or after summer vacation. The teachers must counsel with the students and their parents and give the students the chance to choose their actual training places. By choosing their actual training placess, the students have the opportunity to consider his ability and responsibility. The teachers go to the actual training places to check out the conditions of training and to encourage the students. The fifth is to guide the graduators. By checking out the conditions of the graduators, the teachers can get informations for the skill training and employment for the students at schools. NEW education policies are suggested in "the new occupational education systems" announced in 1995. Among them 'all students who get occupational education in high schools should be given the same opportunity and right' are included. In making education policies the opionion of teachers in liberal schools must be adopted because the occupational education is in the power of these education policies. The local government's roles are very important. The support of expense and administration from government and the education policy for the occupational education in liberal schools must be adopted because the occupational education is in the power of these education policies.
