The Relationships between Experience of Physical Activity Involvement and Development of Sociability among Elementary School Children

The purposes of this study was to examine the effects of experience of physical activity involvement on development of sociability among elementary school childrens. Data collected through a questionnaire designed for this study consist of fixed-alternative choice response to items constructed to represent the operational definition for each variable. The inventory was administered to three hundred and one elementary school boys and girls. Statistics employed for data analyses were correlation analysis and stepwise multiple regression analysis. Based upon the results of the study, the following conclusions appear warrented: First, Periods of physical activity involvement in elementary school children have positive effects on responsibility, self-regulation, achievement, activity, superiority, dominance, social gathering and emotion Second, Times which spent on physical activity involvement per once among elementary school children have effects on self-regulation, social gathering and emotion, while numbers of involving sport activity have effects on dominance and activity. Third, Frequency of physical activity involvement in elementary school children have negative effects on dominance and social gathering.
