    The contemporary physical education is aimed at cultivating adolescents harmonized by intelligence, virtue and body, offering the condition in which adolescents can enjoy the leisure soundly and preventing their cirmes. And it should be the basis of life-long physical education by the endeavor for a development of social physical education, improve people's social and cultural level based on physical education in school and let them keeo their health. The facilities of physical education for students should be invested very much and their physical strength and the techniques be improved. The administrative support and systemetic aids are required to achieve these purposes. This study is aimed at looking into the theory about administration of physical education, pointing out the current problems of physical education in Korea and presenting the plans for solving the problems and the guideline of physical education. The problem of contemporary physical education in school are as follows: 1. The dualization of central and local governments and the lack of the professional physical education administration hinder the proper management. 2. The realization of all around education and the cultivation of the young have obstacles such as elite centered physical education, uniformity of curriculum, the inapprepriateness of teaching method and evaluation, the lack of allotted time and teachers, poor progress in the development of new theory, and its poor adaptation. 3. The failure in securing enough space for physical activities, which also deteriorates students' interest, is derived from the uniformity of criteria in school facilities, the low quantity and quality, no plan in the facilities of physical education and poor finance for the facilities. 4. It is difficult to improve the quality of physical education for lack of physical educators and opportunities for training and due to their overwork. With the problems examined until now, it has turned out that the frame of a policy and the execution for solving them are required. This study is to present the plans of improvement. 1. The national Research Institute should be established and supply intelligent men and finance to unify central and local governments, to specialize physical education administration and to set up plans suitable for circumstances and execute them. 2. The Physical education in school improve students' physical strength and techniques and be a basis for life long education with all round education by planting righteous awareness and supplying reasonable information, by developing various education programs and improving original teaching methods, by securing legal alloted time for physical education, by preventing teachers from missing classes, and by reinforcing the test for physical strength. 3. The government should contribute to maximizing the accomplishment of goals for physical education, to satisfying students' needs for physical education, and to having them do the activities in social physical education, by modernizing and improving Standards Act for facilities of physical education in school. 4. Physical education in life should be spread through campaign with other organizations. 5. The government should make the National Physical Education Promotion Fund through attraction of private investment and lead well-balanced development of districts by supporting the local government offices.
