    The purpose of this study is to grope for a direction of computerized environment where elementary school children can use the internet regardless of area or sex and present an educational direction of the internet at elementary schools by conducting a fact-finding survey of the use of the Internet by elementary school children. The study used a question survey, focused on 250 children each of both city area and town area and made statistics on responses of 414 persons excluding a case with no internet experience. The summary of the study result is as follows: 1) Elementary school children make use of the internet in various ways mainly focusing on information search. Male children used the Internet to play a game and female children used it for study. 2) Computerized environment where children can access the internet without constraint is required. The government should without delay present such a policy as to install facilities for free use of the Internet in many places so that anybody can use the internet without constraint i.e. cheap access charge or free internet facilities at post offices. 3) A current curriculum does nor include the internet, only containing 6 times each of computer manipulation and writing with PC at sixth grade students practical course. Thats why only private institutes offer Internet course. Thus children had a wide range of an individual difference depending on the environmental difference. The Internet should be included in the curriculum to reduce such an individual difference.
