    1. Purpose of the study This study aim is to know the teachers' cognition about the school evaluation which is executing in Primary Schools. The specific objectives are as follows. The first is to know the teachers' cognition about the adequacy of the period of the school evaluation. The second is to know the teachers' cognition about the adequacy of the main body in the school evaluation. The third is to know the teachers' cognition about the validity of the school evaluation ways. The fourth is to know the teachers' cognition about the use of the school evaluation results. 2. Methodology In order to achieve the above objectives, related literature books and materials were reviewed. For field survey, the questionnaires were made by the surveyor, based on the present dissertations and many scholars' point of view on the school evaluation under the professor's instruction. The questionnaires are composed of 14 questions. The subjects of the field survey are selected at random among the primary school teachers in Kyonggi province. The questionnaires are send to 454 teachers at 54 primary schools. 396 questionnaires were used in making statistics. The data were processed with SPSS/PC+ usually used in social science. 3. Conclusion The conclusions of this study are as follows. First, the teachers' interest and cognition about the school evaluation are very low. Second, it is necessary to evaluate schools every 2 or 3 years at the last of the second term. This helps schools to lesson the time loss to prepare the school evaluation. Third, teachers have negative view about the school evaluation evaluated by only supervisors. It is necessary to evaluate schools by the evaluation group composed of various members. Fourth, the way of school evaluation should be the integrated one mixed the way of rating with the way of description according to criteria and contents. It should always be objective. All areas at the school should be evaluated. To improve the school teaching quality, the introduction of the new school evaluation is needed. Fifth, the results of the school evaluation should be processed scientifically. It need right translation and judgement. They should be used fairly according to the purposes of the school evaluation.
