    The objective of this study was to elucidate what idiosyncrasies teachers, pupils and parents expect from teaching profession in elementary school to faithfully perform their functions and to conduct a positive scrutinization of three subjects of study to firmly establish such recommendable images as can devotedly contribute to teaching profession with a good sense of mission as a teacher. For that purpose, a questionnaire poll was carried out on elementary teachers in Ansan City, pupils, and parents, and responses were collected from 325 respondents. The statistic method utilized for this study depended upon calculation by percentage, on the basis of which priorities were determined. And then cross analysis and X^2 test were conducted. In consequence, resultant results were revealed, as follows: First, when seen from the perspective of teaching, the ideal type of the teacher that teachers and parents perceive was similar on the whole, having a preference for the image that asks many questions requiring thinking power and creativity, leads pupils to give many presentations and guides them to study themselves. On the other hand, pupils wanted from their teachers inducement to a good personality, the full utilization of the computer and the Internet, the impositions of assignments at times, provision of autonomy in extracurricular activities. Second, when seen from a teachers' view as regards guidance, the recommendable image of the teacher was the cultivation of a cooperative spirit, providing counselling when needed, physical punishments of love at times and praise in front of friends, while pupils' response was emphasis upon self-study, generosity on faults, and frequent provision of praise and prizes. Third, as for human relations, teachers, pupils, and parents had a preference for teachers' stern attitudes at one time and at another benevolence, free talking at breaks and round human relations between teacher and pupil and a gentle and polite image of the teacher. On the basis of the aforementioned results, conclusions were made, as follows: First, it is needed to build active and open educational conditions by narrowing the differences of views among teachers, pupils, and parents. Second, teachers need to guide problem children to a right way by reinforcing personality education, and cultivate pupils' excellent talents. Third, a teacher should lead pupils to upbring their personality through curricula by showing a pattern for pupils and concurrently with this induce them to autonomously take part in learning by giving praise and encouragement with an open and positive attitude. Finally, it is required for teachers and parents to enhance the effects of education through the vitalized educational and cultural school regulations and combined education. On the other hand, teachers should exert efforts so that parents can send their children to school in trustworthiness. For that purpose, a teacher should pursue incessant learning through varied training programs for himself/herself, take the lead in teaching profession and assiduously advance to be a respected teacher by showing reliability and trustworthiness to pupils and parents.
