    This study aimed at identifying influences of meditation music on elementary school students' emotional stability. Focused on this purpose, we supposed that meditation music has a positive effect on elementary school students' emotional stability by examining theoretical backgrounds. The subject of this study test includes students of two classes in D elementary school in Kimhae by random sampling. They are divided into test group of 35(20 men and 15 women) and comparative group of 35(19 men and 16 women). Then, we had them listen to classical music for two weeks, a wave music for four weeks and θ wave music for two weeks, each time for twenty four minutes, total eighty times ten times a week. Comparative group studied autonomously in the morning without other actions. Then, each group took before and after tests. Tools of measuring for the study include a valuation sheet on emotional stability for quantitative analysis and a record of impressions of listening to meditation music for qualitative analysis. Records of impressions of meditation music were written down each in three weeks and in seven weeks after the first meditation. As a result, changes of scores on emotional stability increased in test group but decreased in comparative group. This meaningful difference between two groups showed that meditation music has a positive effect on children's emotional stability. In records of impressions of listening music, children recounted their experiences in calmness, happiness, improving of concentration, careful concerns for their friends through meditation music Therefore, it is possible that meditation music used in this study can be applied to children's emotional stability against materialism and dreary educational environment. Moreover, suggestions for succeeding studies are followings. First of all, it is necessary to diversify ways of selecting participants in listening to meditation music in order to verify generalization of effects of this study tool. Secondly, studies are also needed to examine meditation music suitable to elementary school students' individual characteristics. Finally, it is expected that various meditation music programs will be developed for promoting further studies.
