  • 초록

    The purpose of this thesis is to provide a foundation of a Plate Loading Test suitable for the field soil characteristics. We analyzed the changes in the ultimate bearing capacity and settlement according to different plate sizes, and reached general conclusions as follows. (1) The ultimate bearing capacity increased as the plate size increased from 10 to 40cm. (2) As the plate size increased, the bearing capacity as well as settlement tended to increase. (3) Greater bearing capacity was observed in the ground that had more gravels and sand. (4) More settlement was observed in the ground that had more clay and silt.
