    Sulfur concrete are used in many special applications throughout industry and transportation as in America. But there is no practical application in our country except some experimental researches carried out in a few university laboratories. The sulfur concrete are primarily used in areas where conventional materials like portland cement concrete fail, such as acidic and saline chemical environments. This new construction materials, sulfur concrete, are thermoplastic and achieve compressive strength in excess of 600 kgf/cm^(2) within 1 day of casting. The materials are impervious to moisture permeation and extremely resistant to attack by mineral acid and salts. This paper describes and discusses the results of a series of experimental investigations on the practicable mix proportions of sulfur concrete. For the purpose, 26 mixes of sulfur mortar and 18 mixes of sulfur concrete were made. The compressive strength and the flexural tensile strength were tested at the ages 1 hour through 28 days after casting. The slump was also measured for each trial mixes. The experimental results show that a practicable mix ratio of binders and fine aggregate is 1 : 1.75 and the usable amount of fly ash is 4∼7 % of total ingredients by weight.
