The UR Consultation resolved in Maracathy, Moroco and the WTO departure have demolished The GATT which has dominated the world economy order since the world war and created the new economy order named "the era for the endless competition, neo-principle of freedom, neo-conservatism". Especially the IMF system which had begun with the crisis of foreign currency was the significant event to remind us of the importance of the economy. Also the society reality changing suddenly under the information, knowledge age brought the confusion of what and how to teach over not only social studies but politics, history, social culture. Now students have thought social studies are boring and difficult to understand. They have thought Korean, English, Math what is called the tool subjects are important but social studies are behind as optional subjects and they are not practical studies. Under this reality it is being desperately asked to improve the lesson contents with the updated informations to the young's taste using various methods with the cyber information media to satisfy the learners so that more students may choose them and induce their interests. They have improved several times through the education curriculum of Korea for last 40 years and performed the curriculum 7 since the year 2002. It was decided in the 7th curriculum "upbringing self controlled and creative Korean leading the globalized and information oriented society in 21st century. They have published the curriculum in the social studies with students as the central figures to raise healthy personal development and to respect different ability and aptitude under "the necessity for raising citizens' quality to cope with the information oriented society". Because of this trend they have chosen citizens' common basic curriculum to the 10th year, the first year in high school and abolished the existing 'common social studies' and replaced them with the social studies for 10th grade. Also they have appointed a related subject as the general optional course(the community of men and the environment) for the 11-12th grade. They are encouraging moving classes to choose various courses on the purpose of reflecting students' interests and future hopes. However it is impossible to have moving classes to choose courses in the usual schools. Therefore the curriculum schools appoint four or five courses to do good for the entrance exams will be practiced soon. Students hope to choose in the order of subjects with easier contents such as Korean geography, social studies, culture, politics, the modern and contemporary history of Korea. As a result economics may be excluded from the optional subjects. The high school ecnomic education will be surely poor. The necessity, aim, studying method for this research are being presented in part 1, the present situation of the high economic education in part 2, analyzing the realities of the cyber economic education in part 3, supposing effective ways of the cyber economic education. The point is that I have examined the situation and problems in the education of the economics which has been practiced with the center of subjects in schools and I would like to present the right way for the education of the economics in the cyber. At present the education of the economics is focusing only on the theory, so the economics is being excluded by students. The economic education focusing on the theory makes students bored and lose their interests. It is important to consider students' changing consciousness. I've tried to write this research with my experience as a social studies teacher and consideration of the economic education reality in school. I hope this research will be helpful for activating the economics which may be in the crisis of disappearing.
