    This study suggests a plan for the convention center which has an estimation of a proper size took consideration of the locational and geographical characteristics, and the layout of each unit spaces based on its usage. It is to prevent a excessive competition for building convention centers among districts and help the districts, who are planning to construct convention centers, to take consideration of the characteristics of their district to ensure that they play a right role as a important facility for the community. In conclusion, the plan for community-oriented convention center should have the following. First : It should be based on the characteristics like industrial traffics etc.. Second : It should take consideration of the size in accordance with the population, the management, and the attached facilities. Third : The layout should take consideration of the functions in accordance with the industries, the locational features, the tourism, etc.. As mentioned above, the plan for the community-oriented convention center can be secured when the fundamentals and the attached facilities are considered based on the location, an estimation of a proper size consistent with the population, and a comparison of the unit space with other district ones. Also, the plan should pay attention to possible resources for exhibition to activate the industries in the district. In addition to the findings in this study further studies and reviews are required to examine a method for a practical space program for the community-oriented convention center.
