    Ⅰ. Introduction ICT goes far above and beyond teaching in the school. An impect that will have on the overall educational activity will dramatically change many existing educational process and force most teachers to change their conventional teaching methods. It also will fundamentally change the traditional channels of teaching and learning. But traditional teaching methods such as expository lecture, is the key and affirmative methods in the current classroom. Therefore, it is necessary to decide which teaching methods are important and how they are related to each other. Ⅱ. Purpose of the study The main purposes of this thesis were to make a comparative study of Math academic achievement between expository lecture and ICT instruction and to identify the difference of academic achievement of Math learning tasks in pre/post experiments of WBI. For this purpose, one controlled group and experimental groups were constructed such as expository lecture group, teacher-directed ICT instruction group . The lesson plans of three types are made and each lesson plan has same instructional objectives. The subjects were t재 classes in the first grade of high school. The subjects in controled group were received expository lecture, that is well-organized teacher directed class. They were given frequent short in class assignment, presented materials in ways that are meaningful to them with chalk boards used and asked to write a "minute paper". The subjects in teacher-directed ICT instruction group were provided frequent opportunities to actively restate or apply key concepts and presented materials in ways that are meaningful to them with web used. Ⅲ. Conclusion This study is the attempt to classify the difference of academic achievement of Math between expository lecture and ICT instruction. The importance of research in ICT is growing greatly. Developing teaching methods with web should involve some collaborative efforts of governments, teachers, students and so on. In the situation like this, this study will provide guideline for future studies of WBI and related teaching methods. The conclusions of this study were as follows; 1. There are differences in Math academic achievement between expository lecture and teacher-directed web based instruction. 2. Students can use Math learning materials on web sites and develop their Math abilities. 3. Teacher can improve the teaching methods and skills
