Use of conventional multicast routing protocol for providing multicast service to mobile hosts in wireless mobile networking environments is incongruent due to frequent changes of mobile host location and group membership. The current version of Mobile IP proposes two approaches to support mobile multicast, which are remote subscription and bi-directional tunneling. However, they still have problems such as frequent reconfiguration of multicast tree and construction of non-optimized multicast tree path. This paper presents that the Mobile IPv4 regional registration approach reduces the latency processing registration after handoff of mobile hosts. GFA(Gateway Foreign Agent) directly participates in join-process in multicast tree to reduce frequent reconfiguration of multicast tree in local area network. Mobile host's mobility in LAN, therefore, cannot be burden on tree reconfiguration any more. Also, mobile hosts can receive multicast data from prior GFA and also receive multicast data from current GFA just after directly joining in multicast tree. This method can solve non-optimal data delivery route and reduce tree reconfiguration frequency.
