    The purpose of this study was to examine how the way school homeroom teachers, academy teachers and private tutors treated elementary school students was perceived by the student themselves, in an effort to find out what implications their perception had. The method of this study were 597 elementary schoolers from the city of Changwon, and the instrument used in this study was Heo Eun-ho(2001)'s teacher attitude perception scale. The collected data were analyzed with SPSS 10.0 program, and the findings of this study were as follows: First, the elementary school youngsters investigated viewed school homeroom teacher attitude favorably. The girl students had a high opinion about that than the boys, and those who considered themselves to get higher grades had a more positive outlook on that. Second, the elementary schoolers had a favorable view of academy teacher attitude. The girl students put higher value on that than the boys, and those who found themselves to get higher grades had a more positive opinion about that. Third, the elementary school students regarded private tutor attitude favorably. The lower graders and girl students were more positive about that than the upper graders and boy students. And those who considered themselves to get higher grades had a more favorable view of that. Fourth, the elementary school students viewed all the teacher groups favorably, but private tutors were rated the best, followed by academy teachers and school homeroom teachers. The following conclusion was reached in the study: First, the elementary school youngsters had a positive opinion about school homeroom teachers. The girl students were more positive about them than the boys, and those who found themselves to do better at school had a more favorable view. Second, the elementary school students rated academy teachers favorably. The girl students had a more positive opinion about them than the boys, and those who looked upon themselves as doing better at school were more positive about that. Third, the elementary school students assessed private tutors favorably. The lower graders and girl students had a more positive outlook on them than the upper graders and boy students. And those who regarded themselves as getting higher grades perceived them in a more positive manner. Fourth, the elementary schoolers had a favorable opinion about all the teacher groups, but private tutors were considered the best, followed by academy teachers and school homeroom teachers.
