    A study suggests that music is creative and has a power for better life so it as well can be used to modify the behavior of children with developmental disorder, especially it can be effective in the treatment of their physical, movement-related, verbal, and social abilities (Boxil, 1985). Thus this study aimed at finding out the effect on stereotypic behavior of children with developmental disorder when they were exposed to the music therapy program participated by their parents. To find out the effect, three children who were in the first grade in the Elementary school were provided with music therapy program 2 times a week, a total of 24 times. The results were analyzed by graphics in this study. The study concludes that: Music therapy program participated by parents has positive effect on the reduction of the stereotypic behavior of children. It supports the theory of Boxil (1985), Nordolf & Robbins (1985) that music activities could reduce the stereotypic behavior of children with developmental disorder. As shown above, music therapy can be used enough to reduce those behaviors, and their parents' proper participation in the process could make more positive therapeutic effect possible. Music therapy program participated by parents could be more effective if concrete and substantial activities are possible in consideration of the developmental state and behavior characteristics of children with developmental disorder.
