    Today's vehicle industry want to construct a vehicle equiping a system more convenient and safe to driver, with the exception simplicity a role of transportation. Especially, the lane detection using vision system is an essential element in order to safety of future's vehicle. Lane detection required to develop the new method of detection and the new method of image processing for accruracy the lane detection, because it have influenced by the obstacle of environment and complication of its shape. In this paper, we proposed that a new method of detecting a straight lane using Hough Transform and a curve lane using Catmull-Rom spline in order to recognize various shapes of the curve lane. First of all, input image is simply processed and improved on accuracy of lane detection by making a binary and thinning. Next, we analyze feature of the curve lane like curvature and orientation of lane. we can recognize the curve lane through detecting control points of Catmull-Rom spline. Finally, we present the result of recognizing about various lanes and verify the efficiency of proposed method using a Computer simulation.
