    We produced a quadrature Tx/Rx saddle coil being able to be used to 3T Saddle coil and Birdcage coil are frequently compared as types of Radio frequency coils using in Magnetic Resonance Imaging System. There are Field homogeneity and Signal-to-Noise Ratio as efficiency estimation facts of coils, and each type has good things. Saddle coil has high SNR, and Birdcage coil has high Field homogeneity. To get images of the brain of small animals, we produced a quadrature Tx/Rx saddle coil being able to be used to 3T MRI system which has high resolution and excellent signal-to-noise ratio(SNR), considered as small type for similar size of skull of rat. Using this coil, we examined brain of rat as FOV 40mm, matrix 1024*1024, and acquired high resolution image as 39μm*39μm per 1 pixel. To confirm as it is a high field, it has a good SNR, we classified into 1.5T and 3.0T and compared, and to verify the thing that as smaller the diameter of coil is, it has better SNR, we had comparative experiment as classifying Head coil, extremity coil, saddle coil. We consider that in case of image obtaining using small animal, using Saddle coil, one can get good quality images.
