(A) basic study on building(set-up) for a High-established Cultivation of the strawberry

Recently, the demamd of fruit vegetables such as melon, water-melon, strawberry has been increasing due to enhancing changes in consumer's income and preference. The cultivating area of strawberry steadily increased because the cash-vegetable ensured stable prfits to farmers. An elevated stair-bench system became an innovated cultivating method of strawberry for improving its quality and solving painful working condition. In this basic study, the elevated stair-bench system was evaluated for the mechanical stability and economic feasibility, and then summarized as follows : 1. The safety of the staking at the cradle structure using the 22mm, 1.2t pipe turned out to be safe, since the staking interval (100cm, 150cm) and the 3 kinds of the culture medium (peat-moss, perite, chaff) were all under the least critical safety lead. 2. The safety of the cross stick turned out to be safe, since the maximum stress of the each culture medium with 100cm and at 150cm interval was under the range of the allowable stress. 3. At the 150cm interval, a bigger angle then the 1/100 angle is made because of the great deflection, and because of this, it seems that the excess of moisture at the center part of the bed would occur. At the 100cm interval, it shows smaller deflection than the deflection at the 1/100 angle by 50% and below, and it turned out to be safe. The 1/100 angle of the NFT was used as a standard to compare with the culture medium deflection inspection, but the angle range that is allowed for the cultivation including the moisture management in the culture medium shall need to be decided when the inspection is made. Also, when the allowed is decided, it seems that the allowed staking interval of the each culture medium including the mixture culture medium could be analyzed.
