(The) electrochemical determination of NADH at a self-assembled monolayer with Cobalt(III)-macrocyclic complex

Self-assembled monolayer electrode was made from thiophene derivative Cobalt (Ⅲ)-macrocyclic complex. The effect of electrocatalytic response for the oxidation of NADH at SAM electrode was studied by cyclic voltammetry. The results showed that the current is slightly increased and the peak potential is shifted to lower potential in comparison with bare gold electrode. And several electrochemical characteristics of NADH were investigated. The analytical parameters were investigated for the electrocatalytic determination of NADH using Co(Ⅲ)-macrocyclic complex SAM electrode. The interference effect was investigated for the electrocatalytic determination of NADH. The optimal conditions for the voltammetric determination of NADH were as follows: pH, 7.2 ; temperature, 35℃; preconcentration, 100s; the stability of Co (Ⅲ)-macrocyclic complex SAM electrode, a series of 100 repeated scans at a relative standard deviatioin of 3.8%. The calibration curve for the determination of NADH in buffer solutions by differential pulse volatmmetry : linear range, 2.0×10^(-4) ∼ 1.6×10^(-6) M; the correlation coefficient was 0.998 ; the limit of detection was 5.0×10^(-7) M; Interferences were investigated by differential pulse voltammetry.
