착과량이 M.9대목 '홍로' 품종 사과나무의 수체생장과 과실특성에 미치는 영향
Effects of fruit load on tree growth and fruit quality of 'Hongro' apple tree on M.9 rootstock

This study was conducted to investigate the optimum fruit load level to stable production and tree growth on 'Hongro'/M.9 adult apple trees which were treated with various fruit set number(3, 4, 5, 6) per ㎠ trunk cross-sectional area(TCA). The result can be summerized as follow. TCA increment and total shoot length per fruit weight(㎝/1kg) was reduced by increasing fruit load level. Stomatal conductance and transpiration was increased by increasing fruit load level. Fruit weight and soluble solids content was increased by reducing fruit load level. The ratio of return bloom was reduced by increasing fruit load level but there was not so much difference according to fruit load level. Yield was increased by increasing fruit load level. Net income was the highest about 5 fruits per ㎠ TCA and economic cost was increased by increasing fruit load level. Based on this result, it is considered about 4-5 fruits per ㎠ TCA as optimum fruit load of 'Hongro'/M.9 apple tree to make high profit by production of marketable fruit as well as stable production and vagetative growth.
