Ⅰ. Introduction Since 1970's rapidly economic development, We have made use of more dangerous materials such as gas, electricity, petroleum. In addition, our traditional buildings have been transforming into multistory and deep-seated structures. Those might make us more hazardous situation such as fires, gas explosions, building collapses than before. We know that Disaster has powerful emotional impact and meaning for most people. However, our safety consciousness can't balance with economic development. It's time to build our safety culture. So, I would like to suggest us for the introduction of The LNTB(Learn not to Burn) Program produced by The National Fire Protection Association(NFPA), and make it adapt to our culture and environment. Ⅱ. The LNTB Program have been designed to be easily integrated into regular classroom activities. It is a four-step program for elementary school : Step 1 may be used at the kindergarten level, Step 2 in grade 1, Step 3 in grade 2, and Step 4 in grade 3. New fire safety behaviors are introduced at each step of this four-step program. In addition, review activities are included to reinforce behaviors taught previously. Ⅲ. Conclusion Each year tens of people die in home fires in our country and hundreds are injured, some so badly they are disfigured for life. There are many ways we can act to reduce the awful toll of home fires, but every one of those ways starts with an understanding of the hazards that create fires and the safe behaviors that can prevent fires or protect us if fire occurs. Fire safety education is the key to saving life and property from fire.
