This paper proposes vector control of Axial Brushless Motor(BLDCM) using the Space Voltage Vector Pulse Width Modulation(SV PWM) Method. Usually PMSM(Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor) makes sinusoidal back EMF and BLDC Motor makes trapezoidal back EMF wave. But Axial BLDCM, used in this study, has sinusoidal back EMF wave. Although it is a kind of BLDC Motor. We use vector control algorithm for instantaneous torque control and SV PWM algorithm by offset voltage methods. SV PWM algorithm using offset voltage methods, proposed in this study, can implement the existing SV PWM algorithm with faster and simplified ways. We can confirm good performance of proposed controller by Matlab simulation. But in case of implementing proposed controller, we failed to obtain exact angular speed. This causes us to add additional process for initial moving to get the position of rotor flux. Because of the time required for calculation of algorithm, we had many difficulties to get the result just like simulation - exact and fast performance. Further research should be directed toward improving processing speed of algorithm, and estimating of exact rotor flux position.
