    In order to investigate the submarine environment, the AUV(Autonomous Underwater Vehicle) captures the underwater image and transmits the capatured signal the ship. However, since the transmitted signal has wideband characteristics, the wideband signal processing technologies in the receiver are required. Therefore, in this research, we has developed the underwater image communcation system which has the characteristics of wideband signal processing. So we have analyzed the bandwidth performance of wideband beamformer depending on the number of taps and the amount of delay between taps. We also has despred the frame format for underwater data communications. By using the proposed frame format, we could estimate the frame syncronization correctly without using the PLL under the conditions that the input SNR is higher than -10dB. After analyzing the proposed communication system using the data collected from the reflection-free tank in KRISO, it is found out that the 9600 bps image data can be communicated using our communication system
