    The integration of remote sensed imagery and GIS(Geographical Information System) data is the long-term goal of both remote sensing and GIS. Nowadays, multi-sensor data fusion has emerged as a new and promising research project with the availability of multi-sensor data in remote sensing. Furthermore, it is now possible to monitor urban land use and facilities in timely and cost-effective way using multi-sensor data and GIS. As developing data fusion technique by using multiple sensors data such as KOMPSAT-1 EOC, IKONOS and RADARSAT, constructing an urban management system which was integrated the fused satellite imagery and Internet GIS/3D GIS to analyse and manage several topological information in urban area, the following conclusions may be drawn from this research. First, the six methods used to merge the information of the IKONOS panchromatic image and multi-spectral image were the Brovey, CN, HPF, IHS, PCA, and wavelet. The spectral characteristics in the data sets generated by using these methods were compared with the spectral characteristics of original data. The comparisons were made statistically and visually. As the result, wavelet method was shown the least distortion for the spectral characteristics among them. Second, to registrate multi-sensor images generated from different spatial-resolution and sensor features such as IKONOS, KOMPSAT-1, and RADARSAT satellites, it was proposed and evaluated registration method using extracted representative patches. Third, with study on the particular feature extraction from interested areas on the ground by wavelet transform and interpretation of ground feature using fused high resolution images, it was showed that proposed fusion and integration techniques can be applied to feature extraction and geo-spatial information analysis for urban area. Fourth, to manage the complex and rapidly changing urban area, this study was proposed two applications using 3D GIS with fused satellite imagery; urban flood hazard manage system which can not only monitor but also predict flood hazard in urban area, and building height analysis system for urban landscape using 3D GIS. Therefore it was analysed and evaluated possibilities for effective management of urban area by using fused remotely sensed data and GIS technology.
