    Students do not trust teachers and teachers are displeased with how students treat them and communication has suffered. As a consequence, teachers are less able to teach effectively and school discipline is compromised. Although the estrangement between teachers and students results from some important factors such as the social environment, home background and school environment, this paper focuses only on school environment factor, more specifically how Extracurricular Activities ("Tukbyul-Hwaldong") influence the relationship between teachers and students. In order to achieve this goal, 398 first grade students from 5 high schools in Chang-won were sampled and 347 student responses analyzed. A questionnaire was used to gather the required information.
