In the aftermath of collapse of USSR and Eastern Europe, validity of socialism as an alternative society seems disappeared. In this context left theorist supports the market socialism that combines the commitment of socialism and advantage of the market therefore, the economy system of so called socialist states were considered an ineffective market socialism. However, those countries that pursued economy reform policy based on market socialism such as Yugoslavia, Hungary, and China has shown that they are rather capitulated by market mechanism which is capitalism. 1990s was the Golden Age of capitalism, which is represented as neoliberalism. But at the same time it was the Age of Resisting Movements opposing neoliberalism and trying to find the new alternative society. Participatory economy model presented by Pat Devine and Michael Albert articulated the alternative different to so called socialist economic order. This model was appeared in the movement and feeling of Anti-capitalism. Pat Devine and Michael Albert presented a participatory economy model based on the anti capitalism movements and the model is different from former socialism. And Tony Cliff and Chris Harman who regarded USSR and Eastern Europe as not socialist countries but a state capitalist countries said that the alternative society should be the socialism based on the classic Marxism.
