In this study, aerodynamic characteristics of high-speed flow field around a missile are investigated using a commercial code CFD-FASTRAN. CFD-FASTRAN has been regarded as a powerful tool for very complicated steady and unsteady aerodynamic flow problems such as analysis of moving body, missile launch, and store separation. The validity of CFD-FASTRAN code was studied by comparing its results with wind tunnel test data and other calculation based on semi-empirical approach. It was observed that aerodynamic analysis using CFD-FASTRAN is easy to use and cost effective and the numerical results are in good agreement with other results in the case of the problems studied.
