    Orthodontics treatment using Co-Cr alloys needs wires of sophisticated and various diameter. For semi-orthodontics, teeth which are not needed to be treated must be used as an anchorage, and whole brackets or other devices must be used. By the superelasticity of Ti-Ni shape memory alloys, anchorage and appliance will not be needed. When shape memory alloys for dental orthodontics were used, considerable restoration was observed under fixed dynamic stability in comparison with Co-Cr alloys. Shape memory alloys enabled tooth movement to be delicate and consecutive. As a result, in comparison with conventional Co-Cr alloys, shape memory alloys for semi-orthodontics was confirmed to be valuable and safe.
