This paper examines and analyses the influences of the educational environments of middle school soccer players. The aim of this research is to give some effective alternatives to finding good players and Making them better players. The general features of playing environments are classified as encompassing personal environment, home environment, school environment and coaching environment. Playing environments are examined and analysed on the basis of these classifications. For this research, open survey questions were asked of 387 soccer players in 16 middle schools across Korea. The summary of the results are as follows: 1. As for the ability of soccer players, 67.6% of students who answered the questions see themselves as positively able people. They consider the important things in soccer games are, in order, teamwork, strong will power, individual techniques, and the strategic analysis of the coaches. 2. It is shown that 90.9% of players' parents support their children's playing. Because 79.3% of parents are highly interested in their children's playing they often come to watch the practice games. 3. In terms of their social relationship among friends, 70.5% of players answered that they are in a good relationship with one another. In terms of team pride, 62.5% of students are proud of their team. 4. Concerning the most effective factor to improve playing ability', 162.3% of respondents believe it rests in their own efforts. Concerning the ability of coaches, 79.3% said that good coaches help them to find the merits and demerits of their play, helping them to increase their ability. The research demonstrates that the playing environments of middle school soccer players have strong influences on their ability to improve as players.
