(A) Study on the subtraction teaching for Mathematics poor students in middle school

This study was especially focused on three students that showed serious disabilities in subtraction. At first, it was important to find where an exact error happened and why it occurred. After finding the error and taking that into consideration we tried to overcome their disabilities. The main reasons of error was because these students not understand the basic concepts and significance of numbers, decimal numeration, subtraction, and the minus sign. Therefore, we wanted to develop one program that could help these students through questioning and answering. In chapter 1, we organized the information on the necessity of this study, the purpose of this study and a case study on the student. In chapter 2, we developed an effective program for the subtraction correction through the subtraction error analysis. In chapter 3 and 4, we concluded the result of the program effectiveness. In conclusion, through our research, it clearly showed the effectiveness of advising mathematically poor students with the program we had developed mainly through one on one evaluations using questions and answers.
