    This study was aimed to apply the career exploration group counseling, to examine the effect of the career maturity and ego-identity and to supply the public schools with the materials of this program to be more active. For this, hypothesis 1 and hypothesis 2 were made that experimental group applied to this program would show significant higher career maturity degree and ego-identity than control group. To identify these hypotheses, 32 second grade students of A Girls' Middle School in Suncheon, Jeonnam Province distributed into experimental group and control group, 16 students each. Total twelve times of this program were done in the experimental group for 90 minutes in a meeting, but not in the control group. This program applied to this study was composed of program for self-recognition, program for job exploration and program for career choice. To test these hypotheses, test for career maturity degree developed by Korea Education Development Institute(1992) and ego-identity index of Korean style made by Park, A Cheong(1996) were used. The data, gotten by this method, were statistically delt by repeated measured ANOVA. The results of this study were this; First, hypothesis 1, experimental group applied to this program would show significant higher career maturity degree than the control group, was positive. Second, hypothesis 2, experimental group applied to this program would show significant higher ego-identity than control group, was partially positive. Therefore, this program positively showed the fact that helped the establishment of career maturity and ego-identity which was very important in puberty. This program will be used significantly for useful materials of group counseling in public schools. This program will also be able to be used as subjects of creative activities and club activities for a deliberated and consistent career exploration group counseling.
