(A) Study on design shear force of pyramidal shear connectors

Increase of traffic volume in recent years results in deterioration of the bridge slab, which is directly subjected to truck loads. Where extensive repair is necessary, replacement or enhancement of load carrying capacity using full depth steel·concrete composite slab are becoming popular due to their advantages. Primary advantages of this system include fast installation and resistance up-lift force occurring steel and concrete. In this paper, A series of push-out tests was carried out on several types of specimens, in order to evaluate design shear force of steel·concrete composite slab with pyramidal shear connector. It is compared with parameter(bearing area, cubeangle and area of connector) to get design shear force of pyramidal shear connectors. The results are as follows 1) Shear force of PSC have influence on bearing area in the front of connector. 2) Shear force of PSC have influence on cubeangle of connector. 3) Shear force of PSC have influence on area of connector. 4) Design shear force formula of PSC in allowable stress design method and considering bearing area in the front of connector and cubeangle of connector and area of connector can be expressed as follows : Q_(ao) = σ_(1)A_(1) + 4cos θ cos δ σ_(sa)A_(t) 5) Q_(ao) allowable shear force, is present to safety factor of 1.48 concerning limit(standard deviation: 0.57) and of 2.78 concerning ultimate(standard deviation: 0.43).
