    Job satisfaction of teacher who is a member of the school organization can be a significant factor to influence teacher's morale, work performance and efficiency of school education. The purpose of this study is to examine the degree of perception of teachers regarding the organization atmosphere of school and job satisfaction, measure the difference in job satisfaction, and present improvement plans to elevate job satisfaction of teachers. To achieve the goals of this study, specific issues are examined as follows. 1) It is examined whether there is a difference of the perception of organization atmosphere according to the teacher's sex, experience at school and size of school. 2) It is examined whether there is a difference of job satisfaction according to the teacher's sex, experience at school and size of school. 3) It is examined whether there is a difference of job satisfaction according to the teacher's perception on the organization atmosphere. Regarding the subject and method of this study, the questionnaires were distributed to 471 teachers of elementary schools in Seosan City and Taean-gun in Chungcheong-namdo, and the results were processed statistically. The results can be summarized into the following. 1) There was no difference in the average between the perception on the organization atmosphere of school and related variables according to the teacher's sex, teaching experience and size of school. There were significant differences respectively in productivity among sub-variables of teacher's sex, neglect, intimacy and consideration among sub-variables of teaching experience, and impairment and driving force among sub-variables of size of school. 2) There was no difference in average between the related variables and job satisfaction according to the teacher's sex, teaching experience and size of school. There were significant differences respectively in motive among sub-variables of teacher's sex, teaching philosophy and motive among sub-variables of teaching experience, and support and management among sub-variables of size of school. 3) There were significant differences regarding the job satisfaction and organization atmosphere both in the average and among each sub-variable. In conclusion, the study results indicate that the most influential element affecting job satisfaction of teacher is the organization atmosphere of school. Job satisfaction of the teachers who perceived their organization atmosphere as liberal was high, whereas job satisfaction of the teachers who perceived their organization atmosphere as conservative was low. Accordingly, improvements should be made in order for teachers to perceive their school's organization atmosphere as liberal. Teachers' perception on the organization atmosphere of school changes when the school principal who is in charge of the management of school creates the school environment favorably by being directly engaged in teaching students, and by allowing teachers to harmoniously interact with fellow teachers. Management philosophy of principal and types of principal also affect perception of teachers on the organization atmosphere. Principals should act as a mediator to connect young teachers with experienced teachers in order for them to reciprocate assistance organically. Moreover, school principals should support teachers financially and administratively to allow teachers dedicate themselves to teaching. There should be more systemic studies to harmonize mental, material and organizational environments in school favorably, so that teachers can happily devote themselves in teaching. Furthermore, teachers need to have a sense of genuine calling and competence as teacher, and they also need to make efforts to maintain relationship with fellow teachers intimately and favorably.
