    The purpose of this study is to comprehend the utilization, the establishment and the claim of multipurpose space which was corresponded to newly 7th National Curriculum and to examine the use of multipurpose space. If the use is misuse, this study is to analyze the reason, and give improvement of the planning multipurpose space in new elementary schools. The subjects of this study are new or second amenable elementary schools built at 1995-2004 in Busan. The conclusion of this study is as follow: First, teachers partly agree to the induction and the direction about the 7th National Curriculum, but they think that it is too early to carry and most of them think that it is better than old curriculum. It meansit is lack of fund of instruments of education and it is hard to use new instruments. So It need to consider a counterplan. Second, according to a report of contentment of multipurpose space, most of teachers satisfy a multipurpose space. The main factor which is responded 59.8% of total respondents is to study variously. It means teachers highly evaluate the need of various system of studing. The factors of dissatisfaction are to trouble to teach, to lack the second instrucment, to scanty the teaching material and to lack air-cooling and heating orderly. Third, as the response of which contentment of multipurpose space is normally satisfiedis 135 persons(57.9%), most teachers tend to satisfy. But it need to improve as the response of which contentment of multipurpose space is very narrow or a little narrow is 62 persons(26.7%). The depth of a multipurpose space including the depth of a hallway is suitable7.2m as 31.3% of respondents and 6.0m as 30.4%. It means that it is hard to contribute to autonomous and creative studing space because the depth of multipurpose space is not sufficiently deep regardless of hallway expansion and the space which is 4.5m-depth and the space without the depth of a hallway is 1.2m-depth. Fourth, the main factor of dissatisfaction is noisy and ventilation because of the protection between the multipurpose spaces. It cause the difficulty of teaching, so it need counterplan about construction of walls for soundproofing. Fifth, according to a report, it analyze various teaching instrucments and equipments for proper use of multipurpose space for various studing and creative open-education. But most of schools is unsatisfied these facilities. For a higher practical using, it need not only continuously to ensure teaching instruments, space of keeping and equipments but also funds for management of these. Sixth, the practical using of multipurpose space correspondent to a various studing way present static, negative space such as a exhibition or collection rather than positive, active space such as a practical using at teaching. It means the rejection to a various studing of teachers who is used to old studing and the lack of teaching instruments. It urgently need the development and application of a various studing method, expand the equipments of teaching and demand a positive awareness of teacher about a practical using of a multipurpose space.
