The South Korean government is trying to pursue its ambitious plans to make Korea the hub of Northeast Asia in finance, IT and logistics fields. As Netherlands and Singapore succeeded to become logistics hub, Korea alsohs to drive forward strong policies for the hub and has to think urgently of it as the lst surviving way. Korea has as many disadvantages as merits. Korea has to build up the equivalent conditions for foreign companies to compete with domestic businesses by abandoning the discrimination to foreign companies, accelerate to fostering the institutions specialized in holding FDI, and train logistics specialized manpower through establishing professional education institutions. Besides, Korean government must promise to keep the continuity of governmental policy for logistics industry in order not to make foreigners confused at the decision moment for investment. Moreover, the authority must reinforce the current logistics infrastructure. Lastly, the present troubles of logistics industry should also be solved. While Korea promotes the strategy to be the logistics hub of Northeast Asia, the domestic logistics system and industry are relatively weak. Korea also went through the strikes by the cargo transportation union twice for the last 2 years. The companies also have premodern system. Korea also possesses the strongest IT network system in the world. Active interest and strong attention of everybody can make Korea the logistics hub of Northeast Asia.
